Join us once again to spend an hour or so and volunteer to clean-up the trash around our local bus-stops. We will be meeting at 9:30am on Sept 24th at the Alameda/S. Lincoln bus stop.

We've heard the complaints and we've seen the frustrations from the lack of promptness in picking up the trash from the city's trash partners for the bus stops.  So, we've decided to take the matter into our own hands and have formed a bus-stop brigade and hope to help find ways to make these stops better for all who ride.

April- Neighborhood Clean-up and Happy Hours

Looking for ways to help on Earth Day?

With Earth Day coming up on April 22, many of us are thinking about ways we can reduce our impact on the environment.  The City of Denver has recently made changes to our waste management program, adding composting for all houses, expanding recycling pick up to a weekly service and charging a fee for trash pick up.  Composting guidelines were updated and now only food scraps and lawn and yard clippings are accepted. You can learn more about closing the composting loop and purchasing Denver’s compost, becoming a master composter, along with worm and backyard composting at the city’s compost page. If you are looking to recycle appliances like ovens, microwaves or air conditioners, you can call 311 to schedule a free pick up with the city.  Denver also provides suggestions for reducing waste by donating unwanted items, unsubscribing to junk mail and reuse the materials we buy everyday.

Join us for an Earth Day Celebration!

We are getting together on April 22nd at 4-pm at Baere Brewing Co. at 320 N Broadway to celebrate Earth Day. Join your neighbors for a fun, casual time. Bonus points for those who pick up trash on their way!
